Vertical or horizontal long wall lamps?

Most long wall lamps can be hung on the wall both horizontally and vertically. So how do you choose the right one? It really depends on their intended use and what they are to illuminate. When using long wall lamps to illuminate a mirror, both the vertical and horizontal versions will look great. Very often, both forms are used: a horizontal strip above the mirror and two vertical ones on its sides. It will be different in the case of lighting a hallway or living room, especially if they are to illuminate, for example, a painting. In this matter, you should take into account the size of the painting or molding and think about the best possible lighting for it (you may need two horizontal or two vertical strips).

It is also important to note that vertical wall lamps optically lengthen the room, but horizontal ones can optically lower it a bit, of course.
